Title: Ripping vinyl/tapes onto PC
Post by: Lord Funk on February 22, 2005, 04:03:21 AM
Just got some software for transferring all my vinyl and cassettes onto my computer - can anyone tell me what kind of cable I need to pick up to hook my hi-fi up to the PC? Thanks ever so much :)

i just use what they now package as a "mini disc" cable..

basically a double ended lead with the small headphone type plug on each end.

you may need to convert the small plug to the larger size at the hi-fi end.

this convertor often comes with it.. Comet or Currys will sell them.. i got mine in Dixons (RIP)

you know though.. you might be better off trying to find the stuff you have on tape/vinyl as mp3s online.

Nice one - cheers bud. Could have a look for individual tracks online but I'm on dial up, so it would probably be quicker to walk to the shop and buy the lead...

Still got a huge Dixons in Brum - Dixons XL no less. Two huge floors to get lost on...
