the bush administration doesn't respect the media, they don't like the media, so they planted someone in the media.
this is nothing new, this isn't a big deal. this story is only interesting in the sense that bush's opponents want to use this as an opportunity to bring him down through scandal; and this illustrates why american politics is a joke. it underscores the fact that the american public for the most part doesn't care about facts and issues, they care about sensationalism and scandal. so something like this is potentially big, but actually discussing how the clean air act actually increases air pollution, or the healthy forests act actually encourages deforestation; or how the medicaid plan and new bankruptcy reforms are actually antagonistic to the average joe are insignificant.
