If you diss the Source for this thing, then you obviously dont know one thing: MONEY MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND!.
Daz is just an underground rapper now, making noise. He made noise with Makaveli & Dillinger, negative noise. He doesnt have the power he had back in the day when he worked with Snoop, Pac & Suge. The Source just didnt give him props for this work cause he is a nobody now. If we cut all of us of this board, then 0,01% of the rap fans worldwide know this album was just been released. In Italy i've never found a Daz album but Retaliation, Revenge & Get Back. You cant give him 5 mics, or 4 mics. For an album that will probably sell 100-200,000 copies.
Call it what you want.. but Nas and Nelly, and Ja Rule, and Will Smith got 100x the power that Daz got now. As sellers and as rappers. At least for The Source. And that's why they'll always see their albums getting props.
Look at Warren G. If i remember well he received 1-2 mics too. It's not that The Source got no love for Daz. It's more like Daz is a nobody in their eyes now.

What Are you talkin about, They Gave Dillinger & Young Gotti 4 mics, so the money thing wouldnt make any sense cause both albums are underground and were released on DpG recordZ.

I have read every Source for the last five or six years and i've never seen any one mic albums and I think I recall only one two mic album, I've believe it was Rough House Survivors (not sure of the name) in '98. If an album is shit enough to get one mic it probably would even get reviewed. Canibus' last album could be a contender for that.

Young Mc's "Return of the One-hit wonder" really did get
1 1/2 mics.....Canibus last album actually had some decent cuts and people would see that if they weren't blinded by all the hype and weird shit he be pullin.....

to whoever said that an underground/indi artist should get the props desrved based on sales: homie ur complete and utter bullshit....get ur head out the commercial societies ass....a solid album is a solid album....regardless....sure its all about money....but if they really liked the album the of course it deserves good ratings....personally i dont think the sources reviews are accurate...cuz its one writers opinions...if anything they should have a round table disscussion to get a whole consensus.....even then its only a few peopes opinions but at least ull get more opinions and not one non-west, east, south or midwest fans opinion.....but daz' album is at least 4 mics...it doesnt deserve 1

the only money issue in the source is if u pay big money on advertising you won't get below a 3.5 mic album review but it doesn't work the other way if they think u have a dope album they'll print that although they have a byass towards the east

The Source did it's homework if it gave Daz just 1 mic, that was the proper rating for the album. Although had it been released on a major label they would of given it 3--1/2 mics just to not piss any of there advertisers off. Peace.

"C" true hollywood stories actualy does have tight lyric's & typical Canibus music.

Daz' new album is not "at least 4 mics", considering he is rapping worse than ever and his beats are just better than average, not spectacular.....at least 4 would mean the album was spectacular, when in fact ,most agree it is Daz' worst effort to date.....
Daz has done classic work in the past, but for him to make an album better than 4 mics, he would have to go back to being an incredible producer and show some fire and energy on the mic, like he did during the Chronic to Dogg Food era....otherwise, his material is not better than 3-3.5 (and this is all coming from a huge Daz fan).....peace
