Aight, lemme tell you a (true) stroy...R-E-L has been my homie for a while now...He's always been a cool guy... used to chill with me sometimes, u kno...Of course, like any other Teen from LA, he was into Rap...He always dressed in the dope Hip-Hop Gear like all of my homies...He was never really a nerd or anything like that...He also liked rock, but he always seemed like more of a Hip-Hop typa' kid (with his attitude, his clothes, his way of talking, and that typa' shit)...So I got R-E-L into flowing, and put him on my little underground label (SSR), since he was the homie and all...Right around May of 2002, R-E-L found out he was going to El Camino High (which is basically an 80% white boy school)...He decided he was gunna drop the Hip Hop image, and start new as a Punker (or EMO as he might wanna call it)...He said that some of his homies were already Punker's/EMO's, and that he would fit in better with the guys (and girls) of El Camino High as a Punker/EMO...I was kinda disapointed, I mean my homie was going Punk and all this shit...Punkers are the kind of people we used to clown, so of course, I tried stopping him from this nonesense...I realized nothing was gunna help, so I just let that shit go after about a week, and said to myself "Fuck it...Ill let him be how he wants"...So R-E-L wouldn't wear ANY of his Hip-Hop clothing, or basketball shoes (and he has a lot of both)...Instead he wore some beat up black Chucks, some dickie pants, and a polo shirt...His hair was all messed up, like one of those white boy Skaters...My homie, R-E-L, didn't give up listening to rap though...He still listened to rap occasianaly during the begining of his Punker stages...So we still chilled once in a while (but not as much as before)...His punker image wasn't bugging me that much anymore...So whatever, he was still rapping on SSR...He was coming out as the first 'Punk Rapper'...He was something different for SSR...So, he was on SSR as a 'Punk-Rapper' and everything, and I started thinking it was pretty cool, since SSR needed to bring something New and Different to the Hip Hop Game...Well, in the last few months, we havent seen eachother AT ALL...Last time I saw him was about Begining of July when we went to chill at the mall/theatre with Roccy...I still talked to him on AIM occasianaly, and that typa' shit...Now, I was thinking to myself, and I realized that R-E-L wasn't even rapping anymore...He didnt even have a mic...The only time he could record is when he came to my house, and he never came anymore...Last shit he recorded was his audio-battle verse against Edwin, which was a while back...Now I confronted him on AIM, and I asked him a bunch of shit...The Convo between R-E-L and I will be posted in my next post

Yo.... I went to schools like the one Rel goes to. I was one of only a couple true hip-hop heads. When I say true heads I mean cats that like read all the magazines, history, and follow the whole scene and culture. Like most the cats that post here.
I didn't change for anybody. Because of that my life was much harder then it could of been. But hopefully I'll be better off in the long run. I understand where NowIKnow's comin from because the way he's speaking to Rel is similar to the way I've spoken to many of my friends over the years. So I really feel where NowIKnow is comin from.
