I knew some people choked on their coffee/tea when they read the headline, but picture this:
* Give Xzibit a few years, and a few albums.
I think he will be considered among the greatest that ever did it when he one day retires.
Pac and Biggie was dope and all that, but Pac was very unconsistant if you ask me, and it's not strange neither when he made 10 songs a day.
Biggie is also a legend, but he never really got to show off his full potential.

In all honesty i think think he could be the GOAT in a few years but in order to do that he has to go back to his roots (i.e. The LIKWIT CREW) and away from the snoop/dre camp..
Xzibit goes AMAZING with these grimey and rugged beats that Thayord and e-swift laced him with. But the beats dre, battlecat etc gave him don't suit Xzibits style at all IMO..
He's dropped 2 near classics and one so so album (Restless), im SO hyped for Man V Machine but i just hope it doesn't have dre's sound stamped all over it...
But with ras on the new album, it could be another near classic release...

yea, Im seein X in the top5 right now...Out of all the rappers out right now, I could see Xzibit be labelled the next "G.O.A.T.

Much like how Eminem has caused controversy he has made a name for himself due to that...................

IMO artists tend to have a certain sound that they are perfect with. Such as
Bone Thugs - DJ Uneek (together they drop classics, but when bone go else where its a nice change and some good does happen but its not the same)
Snoop - Dre (no need to explain but them 2 are AMAZING together)
Wu - Rza
same goes with Xzibit, he sounds MUCH better with the Likwit camp and other ppl like Thayord, Sir Jinx producing his shit (and guests) etc. Coz they have a dark kinda style which isn't really west coast style but X is amazing with these styles. X and Dre is ok but nothing special...
I'd rather have an X album produced by those who did his 1st 2 and have guests like the liks/king t/defari/ras etc than a Xzibit album produced by dre and snoop and co on it coz it just ain't the same...
Not hating on dre but i prefer Xzibit WAY more without dre (and collabs with those in the dre/snoop camp)

Xzibit gots sometime to even think about that. Maybe west wise, with Snoop, Cube and 'Pac. But overall, it's gonna take time, and better albums. His first three are tight, but G.O.A.T. contenters improve, read 'Pac from 2Pacolypes to Makaveli, a world of difference, or Rakim Paid in Full to Don't Sweat the Technique, which he stayed at a high level. Xzibit has been improving and expanding, and all, but he needs to reach that level. People were thinking Snoop after Doggystyle, but since he has been up and down, so he is not a G.O.A.T. contenter anymore, and same with LL Cool J, or Ice Cube post Westside Connection. But Xzibit seems hungry to gain mad respect, and it's hard to see him loss that hunger.

"Man vs. Machine" looks set to be another classic, judging from the 2 first tracks we heard.
Comparing XZ to Busta, Nore & Prodigy is a insult, even if I like, and bought all of those 3 artists albums.
Xzibit got a flow, delivery & lyrics to match anyone in the game, even if I admit that he sometimes isn't up to par lyric-wise, but which artist doesn't have the occassional radio-hit?
And please don't say Pac, Biggie or Snoop, because they're all more commercial than Xzibit is.

So if hes just starting out how can he be the G.O.A.T.? These "whos the G.O.A.t." topics are so stupid. We could spend years arguing about this subject. Its just like arguing about whos a better producer Dre or Quik. Its all in opinion. Oh ya and Jome, I can tell your a huge xzibit fan because I dont see how you can say man vs machine is gonna be a classic judging by two basicly pointless songs. I say pointless because Xzibit isnt saying anything but average rhymes. And judging by some of the titles of the songs on the cd i dont see how it could be a classic. Unless on Choke Me, Spank Me, Pull My Hair and BK to LA xzibit is talking about political issues, how commercial hip hop is bullshit and other subjects he used on At the speed of life then we have 4 songs that are average and on a cd that will shape up to be about 16-19 songs we already can bring this down a mic. Because a classic cd should have songs that are actully saying something insted of talking about pimpin and doing the whole East-West collabo to show hes got love for both sides.

^^^^ Xzibit represents the last of a dying breed; and that is a West Coast artist who was makin noise in the middle of the 90's and is still improving and getting Loud to this very day. Xzibit is carrying the wieght of the West. Pac is dead. Snoop, while still a heavywieght doesn't have quite the stamina he had in the mid-90's. Therefore, Xzibit is the last known representative of hip-hop's glory days, when the West Coast was on top.
I am elated that Jome found the courage to communicate to us that X to da Z may in fact be the next big superstar and possibly 2 albums down the road, the G.O.A.T. Put Xzibit's first 3 albums against 2pac, Snoop, Nas, first three albums and Xzibit is the G.O.A.T. It can not be repressed or denied.

Personally, Me Against the World is the best disc. The best three are Ice Cube to me, and Xzibit seems to only go over Snoop, except Snoop had Doggystyle. Xzibit is the next King of the Westcoast, don't get me wrong. Read my shit on WC Killaz. But like 'Pac, I think it's his later career that's going to carry his legacy, if he has one. I think that X will be on the same level as Snoop, LL Cool J, Jay Z, Chuck D. It will take a lot to get to Nas, 'Pac, Biggie, Cube, Rakim level, and I mean like at least two classics, like each one of them had at least two classics.

Chuck D has two classics It Takes A Nation... and Fear Of A Black Planet.
LL has two classics Radio and Mama Said...
Jay-Z is arguable but definitely has one.
Snoop definitely only has one.

Well I tried to be general with my top few, because all but Big actually got 3 classics. 'Pac his last 3 before he died, Cube, his first 3, Rakim, 1,3,4 and Biggie only got to do 2 classics. And not that the others are not great, just not G.O.A.T.S.
