What was everyone's first record?
Mine was RUN-DMC's 'its like that' on cassette...i think!
Do y'all think that peep's 'first record' will end up as 'ur first downloaded track'? Man, that will be hard to remember...

my first was supposed to be Dr. Dre "The Chronic" on casseette, but I settled for Cypress Hill "Black Sunday" on cassette.
i remember hearing that shit for the first time in like 3rd grade or some shit , and i immediately went to the local Wherehouse.. and i asked for "Dr. Gray" hahaha and they were like "you mean dr. dre?" haha.. anyways they sold out of that cassette already that day, so i just decided to get next up the Cypress Hill. that album will forever be embedded in my head.
i dunno my first download.. cant remember. i remember i was one of the first people to start using napster though.

First rap album was MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This when I was 5. When I first got the net, it was only a 33.6 so I was just doing songs. I think the first song I downloaded was Grand Master Flash - The Message.

I didn't get into hip-hop till the end of grade 7..that was like the 1999. Thats when I bought my first hip-hop cd, DMX - Its Dark and Hell Is Hot.
I dont know what my first download was...i've reformatted/bought a new comp..so no idea..maybe a Limp bizkit song?

I was doing chores. I got like 2 dollars a week. I saved up. I still have the CD to this day. Then I got Counting Crows - August and Everything After. I remember a lot of shit back then.

I was on amazon.com, it was back in 99. I had a 28.8 modem back then and Public Enemy had some sort of promotion through Amazon.com and they had a song available to download for free on mp3, I don't remember the name of the song. I think it took over an hour to download. I didn't download another mp3 until 2 years later, when I moved out, got my own pad and experienced the wonderful world of high speed internet for the first time.
