Title: Dvd editing program request/help etc (help me pleeease)

hey im looking for any decent editing program so that I can make a Knicks highlight mixtape from all my dvds from this season...

I've been recommended Adobe Premier but that cost like $5000, so obviously thats out the window...

anyone who's made some sort of mixtape of visual highlights got any tips etc?

Looking to make it about 5 mins long, possibly gonna do a separate one for just Ariza...
