Title: Pac Praised the Wu
Post by: Liquid-Dogg on July 30, 2002, 10:43:20 PM
Whats up,
I was listening to one of those Makavellie interviews today, and he said some interesting stuff. In particular he had comments about the Wu. The question was did he dislike all the East Coast rappers, in particular New York rappers. He said that the East vs West was all media hype. He at first only had beef with Bad Boy but then some people wanted to get involved ie... Nas, Mobb Deep, Jay Z so he had beef with them. The next question is whether there was anyone on the East that he really liked. He said he loved the Wu, and that they were some real niggas. He said that they were the only people on the East that he felt represented like Deathrow did for the West(At that time West Coast was pretty much synonomous with Deathrow).
Thats pretty high praise coming from arguably the most prolific rapper ever. The Wu definitely got mad respect back in the day, not so much now though.

not surprising....Red and Meth apeared on "all eyes..." even tho Meth also apeared on Biggies "Ready to die" 2 years b4. he must've had mad love+respect otherwise the same as what happent after Jay-z had biggie apearing on "BK finest"
would happen.
