Title: problem playing mpg/m2v with winamp
Post by: Wild_Elmo on May 09, 2005, 07:55:38 PM
Hey guys, any help would be appreciated. I've been having problems playing mpg/m2v files in winamp. It used to work a few days ago, now it will only play the sound of videos. i don't know what happened, i've tried uninstalling/reinstalling winamp but no luck. any suggestions??
thanks

VLC plays everything, but if you install K-Lite Codec Pack (http://www.codecguide.com/), Winamp will play almost everything as well..
Powerplayer (http://powerplayer.tk/) is a nice add-on to Winamp 5.x  8)

yup sounds like a codec fuck up.. i fuckin hate video codecs

these days i use my xbox to play videos.. xboxmediacentre plays m2v, mpg, wmv, divx, mov, rm and .vob, and cue/bin disk images..

someone made an unofficial windows port of it.. prob easier to just sort ya codecs out tho
