Post by: $do11a biLL$ on October 10, 2005, 06:46:01 PM: I used to think it sucked but my friend hooked me up with Daft Punks first album "Homework" and i was feeling it so i got all of their other albums and all of their music is amazing.. any other recomendations on good techno artists or something similar? i just want to start getting into other kinds of music besides just rap, hip hop, reggae, r&b etc. just to kind of see what else is out there

Here are some really good artists and albums you have! to check out from the techno/ electronica/ psytrance scene:

Infected Mushroom- I`m the supervisor. Amazing album, real hard and real fast, has elements of classical music and rock in it. You just got to hear it to know what I`m talking about

Röyksopp- Melody A.M and their second album: The understanding. Two classics in my opinion, lush harmonies and nice warm beats

Basement Jaxx- Remedy. Although their productions can sound a little cut`n paste sometimes, this is a really good record.

Mylo- Destroy rock and roll. It sounds like a combination of Daft Punk and Röyksopp, I love it.

as for "real" techno, most techno is really eh IMO, but Aphex Twin is definitely a brillant artist, I can´t listen to that shit for too long though. Squarepusher is great too, more like Electronica Ambient sound though
