Title: Who feel that James Blunt?
Post by: Wessia4LiaNia Chieee Chieee on November 01, 2005, 01:04:22 PM
I got to admit he's in my playlist everyday since i heard that "You're beautiful", after that I listened to "Goodbye my lover" and i was like "daaaaamnn i feel this dude's poetry"  you know why? because I see a lot of my "poetry" in his style ...and his voice is perfectly over the song...I just love his songs

Eat a dick if you pretend to be a G and you don't feel this :
"And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bare my soul in time,
When I'm kneeling at your feet."

"I am a dreamer but when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you."

Yes Im really feeling his album, brilliant work. It kinda reminds me off Illmatic, only 10 songs, but no fucking around, no BS. Just 10 great songs. There's no minute on the whole album that lets you down. Great CD. I like every song, can't even really tell what my favorites are.

he's pretty talented... that's for sure.

some of his tracks are great, but others don't appeal to my music-taste...

You're Beautiful is one of my fav commercial songs of this year...

Damn, this is NOWHERE NEAR as impressive as Illmatic's poetry man. Seems like you need to put Illmatic back in rotation to rediscover how great it really is. Second of all, I find James Blunt the most annoying singer I've heard in the pop charts this year. His voice is so goddamn terrible, I really can't stand listening to him. That's just me though. If you like him, I'll respect you for your opinion, but in no way this is on the level of Illmatic. These rhymes are rather simplistic (imo).

I can't stand the guys voice, sounds like a Maroon 5 ripoff (and they ain't great). Worse thing is we now have this other fucker Daniel Powter or something who sounds exactly the same as well.

Like the album a lot actually, bit of a guilty pleasure lol.

The missus has that Daniel Powter CD... terrible. That 'Had A Bad Day' is nearly as shite as that awful Coldplay single they keep playing on the radio. Chris Martin = talentless egomaniac.

Oh, wait, you're right!  ;D Mixed up ur post with 7even's, leaving me concluding you said the poetry was similar to illmatic, when neither you nor 7even said that. I'm sorry   8)

Anyways. No. I can't stand JB. I don't mind soft music, but I do mind his.

"When I'm chillin, I grab the buddha, get my crew to buy beers
And watch a flick, illin and root for the villian, huh
Plus every morning, I go out and love it sort of chilly
Then I send a shorty from my block to the store for Phillies
After being blessed by the herb's essence
I'm back to my rest, ten minutes some odd seconds
That's where I got the honey at, spends the night for sexing
Cheap lubrication, Lifestyle protection
Picking up my stereo's remote control quickly
Ron G's in the cassette deck, rockin the shit, G
I try to stay mellow, rock, well acapella rhymes'll
make me richer than a slipper made Cinderella fella
Go get your crew, Hobbes, I'm prepared to bomb troops
Got niggaz who's born, I shot my way out my Mom Dukes
When I was ten, I was a hip-hoppin shorty wop
Known for rocking microphones and twisting off a 40 top, yeah"

Move over Emily Dickinson. ::)
