What the deal everyone? I don't want ya'll to think that I ain't down with hip-hop at all, cuz I am. I have been for the last twelve years, but I was wondering if someone could clarify for me exactly what "Crooked I" means? I've heard someone refer to it I think as some type of alchoholic beverage, but then I hear Red and Meth using it (i.e. - "Brick City to the crooked letter I") Could someone hook me up????

The “I” is in reference to Long Island, where Meth is from. Brick City is Jersey, where Red is from.

And yes, Crooked I does refer to the drink.  I can’t confirm if that is what the rapper Crooked I is trying to convey.  Pz.

thats actually true lol. Crooked I has a crooked eye, i believe thats how he got the name.

I always thought it was from St. Ides too.  In Ice Cube's St. Ides commercial, there's a schratch of him saying "i drink crooked eye" in the background.
