One of the few rock acts with actual talent..
99.5% of rockers today are plain eating off Kurt Cobains work, imo..

jome...uhh...its not like nirvana was the only grunge act out there. and there really isnt much that are the same style as nirvana was anymore anyway with the exception of seether and a few others.

Uhhh, it's not like I didn't know that, but Nirvana did it on a bigger scale, they brought the rock/grunge to the masses, and suddenly you had mini-Kurt's going around everywhere.
It's not like I listen to a lot of rock, but the influences can be seen/heard everywhere.

Jome; I understand exactly what you're saying, these kids don't have any kind of sense of musical ability, they have no idea how Nirvana has influenced nearly every rock band out there, even some of their CONTEMPORARIES they influenced, bands that were out when they were.  It's not that they're just copying Nirvana, it's just Nirvana left a big paw print on the music scene that everybody molded to.  Ironically, though, Nirvana always, always reminded me of the Beatles, they're very beatlesque with their music and the way he structured songs.  As Billy Joel said at his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, though "Hell yeah, I'm derivitave, there wouldn't be a white man in here if they took out everybody that was derivitive", also, John Lennon famously said "There's only 7 notes" so, while everybody sounds like Nirvana, that doesnt' have to be a bad thing.  Take the Foo Fighters, for instance... of course they sound like Nirvana, Dave Grohl was in Nirvana, but they still are a very very talented band, even though they are derivitive of Nirvana.

That damn song "Can ya take it all away", for instance, is the biggest Nirvana rip off I've ever heard.  Come on "Everyone's so jaded, there's nobody left that's realllllll", he's trying his hardest to sound just like Kurt.

lmao...dude "Blurry" reminds me nothing of nirvana...Puddle Of Mudd is just another good band. its one thing to have a voice that sort-of sounds like an artist and thats all that it is. they dont have the grunge sound at all. its different to mimick an artist (for example the realest).

Not only does Jome not know what he's talking about, but Trauma is now on his side...LMAO...Jome lacks so much knowledge when it comes to music, that it's starting to piss me the fuck off...He says Eminem's "Can-I-Bitch" samples Snoop's "G Bedtime Stories," when it actually samples the well-known classic by Slick Rick, "Children's Story"...He says "Stunt 101" sounds like it's produced by Rockwilder...He discovered Tech N9ne after Tech N9ne has been out for the longest...He says G-Units new album is 4.25/5...He posted a link to some song that sounded like a Neptunes beat, and said it sounded like it was produced by Premo...He says Just Blaze's production style is a complete rip off of Timbaland, when in fact, they sound nothing a like...He said the Eminem "Wanksta" freestyle and D12's "Bump Heads" was new almost a year after they came out...He says Pharaoe Monch is the illest MC ever...He says Lloyd Banks is amazing, and is the next MC to blow, when he shows no potential/charisma whatsoever...He says Fabolous sucks, but 50 Cent rules...He labled "Where Is the Love" by Black Eyed Peas new about 6 months after it was played out...OMG, I can go on for dayyyyyyyyssss about why Jome is such a fake, but I'm gunna stop here, because I seriously feel bad for the guy...He tries too hard to get accepted as a Hip-Hop head, but has the same knowledge as that of a 12 year old female Eminem fan...I'm so sick and tired of seeing people praise Jome like he knows something...He's the only person on WCC that can make my head explode when I read his posts...That's the last time I want to have to adress Jome...Now we can finally squash this...PeACe

^ You too? LOL that's how I got into them.  She used to go to sleep when "All Apologies" came on the radio.  I'm serious, it was amazing.  That's how I got on her good side, hahaha, I bought her "Bleach".  That was back before I even had a car, we walked to the mall.

Yeah, same here.  I think maybe I was dating your girlfriend, I can't remember.

Anyways, Kurt wanted to perform "Rape Me" live on MTV, but they wouldn't let him, and told him to perform "Come as you are".  So, he agreed to it, and then went out and started playing it, and sang the first 3 or 4 lines of "Rape Me" before he switched into it, he was a class act until he turned into a fucking IDIOT and killed himself, leaving his daughter with no daddy.
