"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

tech.. what you're saying about blacks vs whites may be true for america.. for most of europe its not the case.. there arent many 'oppressed' blacks over here.. our countries _weren't_ built off the back off of slavery like america was.

as for these muslims rioting.. its gonna start a massiave anti muslim backlash. they are their own worst enemy.. they've shown stuff in the papers over here that muslims print about jews in the arab press.. and some of that is far far worse than this picture. the problem is these muslims making the noise dont know how, or cant seem to understand that the countries are full of many different races and religions.. but why dont they burn things down and riot over a simple charicature in a paper? why not just a peaceful protest? why does it have to turn to violence and burning.. and on top of that _genocidal threats_.. i mean come on this is a bit of an over reaction.

this is happening more and more across europe.. there does seem to be some element provoking and supporting these actions under the surface.. but in europe these fools are massively massively outnumbered.. but they dont get it!

they seem to be playing into the hands of the anti-muslims..  and are acting like they want conflict..

Your entire society and prosperity was built off the back of colonialism. The problem is that your society has been conditioned to accept this historical legacy as an after thought. A product of irrelevent times. The world has moved on so to speak.

So thats where ignorance comes from. "Whats wrong with those Muslims why wont they shape up?"

Aint that easy, The Muslim world has been so thoroughly raped by the West, it will take massive reconstruction, entire societal revision, etc etc
And who is in power with vested interests in the middle east status quo to prevent that from happenin.?

You cant rape a woman consistently over the course of her life, and then ask her to get over it. Or get upset when shes irrational and a fuckin psycho.

alot of exploitation from the colonial periods.  and most of europe is being blamed for the actions of a few european nations.

you're basically making a threat.  a veiled threat that the muslims can't handle or don't want this backlash.  this story will become very interesting if the muslim populations decide to turn against any regimes in that region that support western nations.  like saudi arabia and kuwait.

they've shown stuff in the papers over here that muslims print about jews in the arab press.. and some of that is far far worse than this picture.

it's really not about the picture.  people have used these pictures to rally the muslim populations against the west.  there has been the attitude that the wealth of the west was based largely on global economic exploitation and oppression.  and that the west doesn't really respect islam or muslims.  these images have been the flashpoint for tapping into anger that was already present.  this is why people are now protesting the u.s. alongside the danish and norweigens.  the u.s. has been too smart to reprint those cartoons to any significant extent, yet the u.s. is also blamed; clearly indicating that this is a larger issue.

Quote
the problem is these muslims making the noise dont know how, or cant seem to understand that the countries are full of many different races and religions..

the protests are largely against the governments of those countries; although the attitude is slowly shifting to the notion that the majority populations of these western nations support their governments in not respecting their religion.

why dont they burn things down and riot over a simple charicature in a paper? why not just a peaceful protest? why does it have to turn to violence and burning..

if the protests weren't on a large scale the interest would die out.  you have these political groups and militant groups that are feeding off this controversy to get their larger points across.  they have to step the protesting efforts up.

the governments seem to be the anti-muslims.  they seem to be playing this issue as well.  immediately using it as an opportunity to attack syria and iran for provoking the issue.  ofcourse the militants in the regions want conflict, they ultimately want to evict the dominant western presence and sympathizers in the region, and start to tap into the greater strength that the muslim world should have; a strength that has been stiffled by corrupt regimes supported by western powers.

Hey wait, are you defending/justifying burning down the embassies, or just simply stating that they are in the same building ?

No, they don't seem to be anti-muslim, imo.

1: They would have done the same if Christianity was caricatured, a government in a free country can not stop/deny a legit newspaper from printing cartoons/caricatures.
2: The governments of Norway/Denmark/U.S.A. and also U.N. are not attacking Iran/Syria, they're condemning them for not protecting embassies in their own countries. Any country avoiding to stop protesters from burning down embassies or other countries interests, are adding fuel on the fire.
