Your Royal Billboard Update (Nas drops AGAIN)
« on: March 06, 2002, 07:30:10 PM »
Bad week for hip hop-unless ur fat joe

Ludacris-8
X-Ecutioners-15
Ja Rule-22
Nas-27
Nappy Roots-31
Outkast-32
Fat Joe-42
Busta Rhymes-45
Bow Wow-55
Mystikal-64
State Property-71
Mobb Deep-73
DMX-78
Petey Pablo-89
Master P-97

Over half the rap albums dropped at least 10 spots..now part of this is due to new releases and grammy albums-but still.  BAD week.  P, Pablo, DMX, Mobb Deep will probably be out of top 100 next week.  And Nas is plummeting out of the top 50 in a hurry.

No, I ain't dickriding Jay-Z. You see, there is a difference between dickriding Jay-Z and liking Jay-Z. If you're dickriding Jay-Z, then you'll say that Jay-Z is a perfect MC/person in every sense, and everything he does/have done is always right/flawless, and that he has never made a mistake in his life in any way. That is dickriding.

I'm a Jay-Z fan. I can critisize Jay. Example: I admit that his third album, "Vol. 2, Hard Knock Life" was straight up wack, nothing more, nothing less. I also admit that Jay-Z is far from being the G.O.A.T. as opposed to claims that he is. However, he is, and will always be, one of my favorite MCs.

Do I need to further explain the difference ?

Nas has already sold 1.5 million albums...The real hip hop heads bought this not the fag-ass MTV watching white boys and little girls who buy Jigga and Ja Rule...

YOu guys are beefin over Nas vs. Jay Z need to go to SOHH.com, cuz they got a whole forum for that.

Next, you all need to expand your mind cuz Jay Z, Nas, AND even Ja Rule have talent!  I mean, Ja RUle is prolly the most amazing success story around considering he has the worst singing voice ever yet continually makes R&B hits....i don't like him a lot but some of his songs are nice in the clubs.

What is awesome is the Executioners album is at 15!  Incredible!  And Fat Joe is just gonna keep moving up cuz the clubs and general audience are loving that track WHAT"S LUV, featuring- you guessed it!- JA RULE!  Damn, he may be annoying but he is everywhere right now......pEACE

Are you calling me a fag-ass MTV watching white boy ?
MTV is not available where I live... I don't watch MTV.
I'm not gay either... and I don't like Ja Rule... Jay-Z should not be compared to Ja Rule in any way. You're obviously saying that Jay-Z is mainstream. I can't deny that. But I've also seen several Nas pop songs, like "Braveheart Party" & "Rule" on Stillmatic... just because he had "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" & "Girls, Girls, Girls" on the album, you call it pop... "The Blueprint" had much better production than "Stillmatic"... overall it is the better album.

I just said Nas is dropping fast-that cant be denied.  Blueprint had a lot more life than Stillmatic.  Also, Im not white, but are you some sort of racist.  "white fag ass"? You need to get your self together
