I wish Hip Hop would go back to this format. I really hate this multiple producers on one album idea, 1 or 2 is perfect. The albums don't seem cohesive or complete if it's crammed with different producers. They are all over the place which is why less and less albums are becoming classics. Sometimes it can turn for the worst though ie. Eminem producing Loyal To The Game

Albums produced by 1 producer/team:
Talib Kweli - Reflection Eternal produced by Hi-Tek
OutKast - Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik produced by Organized Noize
Little Brother - The Listening/The Minstrel Show produced by 9th Wonder
Clipse - Lord Willin' produced by The Neptunes
Juvenile - 400 Degreez produced by Mannie Fresh
MC Eiht - We Come Strapped produced by DJ Slip

I think Scarface - The Untouchable is a very good esample in that aspect
Scarface on all the tracks and the production by Mike Dean/N.O. Joe/Tone Capone (consedier them as a team).
And of course we have a Dre beat which I think fits perfectly.

^^Co-sign.  And let me add to your point in saying that the reason that Eminem producing "Loyal To The Game" didn't work is that 2pac and Eminem never knew eachother and there was no chemistry between the two.

The best case scenario for an album is when one producer handles a whole album, and that producer has some chemistry and frendship with the artist they are producing.

Em is a great producer.  The proof of that is his work on the first D-12 record where he handled most of the tracks and the Eminem Show where he handled all but 3 tracks.
