this seems to be turning into a project i tried to start a while back (anyone remember the West Coast FAQ project on dre2001 ?)  now I know i mostly suck at maintaining sites unless i'm forced to.. i'll willingly provide a sub-domain (if it outgrows that then we would need to arrange something else) and submit entries and provide input structuring it.

we're not getting towards wanting to cover the following areas.

1) unreleased lyrics.
2) unreleased songs.
3) full album credits.

on the lyrics front lil jay said he had some unreleased in the other thread

i'd love this to be a community thing.. but as we know if we give out the ftp details to everyone some hater would delete it all.

i have a cunning plan that i'll need to investigate for this.. it could work out well.

i'll explain what/how i want to use it.. you lot post what your ideas are.. and we'll formulate a 'master plan'

now heres another thing we aint said yet

4) i wanna be able to look up something that not much info is known on and put it there - maybe historical shit.. like.. what tracks were on doggumentary, what tracks were on e-a-ski's earthquake.. little things i've spent fuckin hours looking up.


IMO - i reallly think slick gfx and stuff can get thrown outta the window for this. (maybe a nice hello page/explanation - but thats it).. maybe tart sections up after. i hope ya understand me.

i dont wanna be running off with a vision no one else has here.. i'm tryin to put in something of mine i've had in mind, and incorporate this other stuff so we have a real community resource. i don't wanna barge in and make all the rules..

This will be pretty difficult as the different albums got different styles in credits.
Example: (The simple credits)
4 Nuthin but a Gangsta
(Dr.Dre/RBX/Snoop Doggy Dogg)
Produced by Dr.Dre
Nuthin but f****n music/EMI Blackwood etc. etc.

While other albums maybe have it like this:
8 Forgot about Snoop
(C.Broadus/A.Young/M.Elizondo/S.Storch)
Produced by Dr.Dre
Bass by M.Elizondo
Keyboard by Scott Storch
Mixed at Dre's Crib by Dr.Dre
Contains sample etc. etc. etc.
Nuthin but f****n music/EMI Blackwood etc. etc.

i think issues like the creditting format thing should  be discussed once somethings in motion.

could some people please drop their vision of what the thing will be like... structure etc.. its fair enuf saying we want this, this and this.. but how should it be layed out/indexed etc

Maybe join the Diggin section with unreleased tracks & lyrics, and then continue to call it Diggin. Cause then you can be "diggin" for unreleased tracks & lyrics. And then you can have credits in the same section, same concept. The Diggin-section isn't that much used, it can need a lil traffic. And in the thread there should be different codes i.e.

Your REQUESTING lyrics, or a track, then the thread will be called:
REQ Snoop Dogg - Fathafigga

You SUBMIT lyrics:
LYR Snoop Dogg - Fatha Figga

You got info on a unreleased track:
INF Snoop Dogg - Fathafigga

You SUMBIT CREDITS:
CRE Dr.Dre - 2001

You request credits:
REQ Dr.Dre - 2001

And for the threads that are already there or sampling info:
SAM Erick Sermon - Music
