The problem is everyone is quick to try and categorize west coast music. When gangsta rap was big, the bay was benefiting also. But the minute something gets stale or does not make it big for a while (G-Funk, Hyphy or whatever else is cool not to like) people don't want to claim it. We as west coast fans need to stop doing that and try to support the music. That's all it is at the end of the day. Hyphy and G-Funk aren't gangsta rap and there is nothin wrong with that. Let it be. E-40 is still a westcoast legend in my book, no matter what his album does or doesn't do.

LMAO @ G-Funk. And LMMFAO @ R.I.P. Hyphy. I can only imagine in The Bay, cuz it's taking L.A. by storm. Clubs are starting to promote that they play Hyphy. You'll see on Flyers and Posters: Hip Hop, R&B, Reggaeton & Hyphy. It's not dead. Sorry! ANd U'm from L.A.

G-Funk died in the 90s, let it go morons.

How did Hyphy die? I don't understand. Super Hyphy is starting to get spins on MTV now. Too Short's new single is talking about Hyphy (And that's getting spins) and Tell Me When To Go is still big. How did it die?

Why do y'all always compare G-Funk to Hyphy???? G-Funk is dead since the late 90's and after that I dont know what era it was but it certainly wasnt G-Funk...and about Hyphy...how can it be dead if its been out since a few months only? give it time to grow on peeps.
