Favorite of all time is the Beatles.  There's a few bands I can listen to about anything they do, the Doors, the Beatles, Beach Boys, Weezer, Mamas and Papas, etc.

My favorite current bands are Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, and the White Stripes.

I never got or understood why we automatically give rock bands a player pass.  If you met any one of these guys on the street (with the exception of Ronnie Van Zandt) you'd think "what a homo"

nirvana is so rediculously overrated. their music wasn't even that good. kurt cobain was an idiot. and everyone worships him because he's dead. he's the 2pac/biggie/big pun of rock music.

FUCK NIRVANA

I agree Kurt was an idiot, I have no forgiveness for a man taking his life and leaving a child without a dad, but I think he was extremely talented.  A lot of times people think pop sensibilities are useless and make you a sellout, but ultimately Kurt was very, very good at what he did, write songs that connected with a certain group of youth who will always love him for that.  Very talented musician, it's a shame he left so soon, he would have had years to contribute.

Well to be fair we never got to see how great his pop sensibilities were. Bleach didn't really have any great pop melodies and the few that In Utero had were either a re-used Smells Like Teen Spirit (Rape Me) or a decent but not amazing All Apologies. Nevermind had Teen Spirit which is undeniable asa pop classic but the rest of the album doesn't come close to that with regards to pop sensibilities. Come As You Are is close, but not quite, plus it lifts it's guitar riff from an older song.

I don't understand what you're saying.  I was just commenting that alot of times, rock stars look like homosexuals.

Which is just a misspelled way of writing "homosexual".

No, really.  Look @ the pictures, they all look like what you'd see in a gay bar.  not that I've been in a gay bar.  Just seen them on television.  Maybe they model television gay bars after what rock bands wore in the 80's and 90's.  Fuck that, look at Billie Joe Armstrong, am I the only one who notices he has makeup all over his face?

i wouldn't say their gay at all...in fact they get beautiful women...my buddy is the lead singer of a punk/emo band...they are getting somewhat big and girls flock to him like crazy and he loves it...though he doesnt ever wear make up he does do the trademark emo kid style...girl pants
