What can I say that the video didn't show or say. The world is fucked up. IT dropped some knowledge though. Props on the video.

I have IT's second album, one of the very few to not be afraid to speak the truth and the video depicts what is going on very well also. It's still pathetic that some dumbass shit for brains would see this as conspiracy theories or anti establishment for the sake of it.

if it's a gimmick it's a bad one because it doesn't sell.  i think immortal technique believes what he spits, i think what he spits is accurate and mostly true.  people don't know or believe what he's kicking so there is a need for him to keep repeating it.  at least get people thinking about things and trying to do something.  i don't see a need to discredit the guy.

propz to the track, though i didnt like the video. IT dissed media manipulation but used media pictures himself to manipulate and shock. but the tracks tight.

I think he's a good rapper. I just hate it when artists take an authoritative role when it comes to world politics and historical affairs. I don't even like it when historians and poltical anaylsts do it, but at least they dedicate most their lives to unravel what is going on with an unbiased approach (at least that's how it's supposed to be). Immortal Technique obviously has an agenda and it was bias that caused him to learn about what he raps about (that's how it comes across anyway). When you study information with bias you are going to have an inclined opinion and skew facts to present that opinion. He doesn't come off as all that smart to me. He comes off as an angry man who wants people to think he's smart. I couldn't see this guy ever publicly agreeing with anything a conservative rich white guy does even if he did agree with it, and I too often hear him either ignoring or justifying the evils that non-whites may do. I don't think he's stupid. I just don't take him seriously. If I want to hear about what's going on in the world I'll find someone who doesn't obviously have an agenda. If I want to hear about minorities in America I'm not going to ask a Klan member so why should I take information about the rich white establishment from an anti-establishment racist?

That being said, Infinite should love this guy.

i submit that you hate the authoritative tone because you disagree with it.  if you agreed with it you wouldn't hate it.

most historians and political analysts are biased.  most research is inherently biased in terms of the sources people reference and rely on.  most researchers don't start with a question, they start with a theory; and look for evidence to prove their theory.  professional researchers, who get funding and grants to verify their theories; have less reason to embrace information that undermines their work.

the guy is basically a communist.  what common foundation is there between him and conservative rich white guys?  people agree on the facts, they differ on the interpretation of the causes.

the root issue here is that immortal technique's struggle isn't really an intellectual argument for democratic political change.  this isn't mlk trying to convince his oppressors to desist from their bad behavior.  he's talking to the oppressed, and trying to motivate them to get active and do something to change the situation.  it's not intended to be a message to convince those it condemns. it is intended to motivate those that embrace it, to build a force that realizes change.  conservative rich white guys have no role in immortal technique's movement; ultimately they will lose their power, influence and wealth and accept the new order that is established.

I appreciate Immortal Technique because I think he represents a great deal of what hip-hop was founded on, and that is a means of expression for the disenfranchised; kind of like Chuck D said it's the "black CNN".  They need more hip-hop artists like Immortal Technique, but most of them remain independant because most the major hip-hop labels are not owned (or their parent companies are not owned) by black people, but often they are owned by wealthy Jews such as Clive Davis, Lyor Cohen, Jimmy Iovine, the list goes on forever.  This is nothing against Jews in general, but if hip-hop started partly as a mechanism for oppressed groups to express themselves and inspire self-esteem and community activism; you don't want somebody else on top of you defining who you are.  For example, since Robert Johnson sold out BET to Viacom (also owned by Jews) they got rid of Tavis Smiley and their news program BET Tonight and they added Uncut, basically they've turned it into a soft black porn network.

Anyway, I don't always agree with Immortal Technique's point of view, because at times (although not often) he also speaks against Muslims.  Still, he has a right to express himself, and hip-hop is one of the greatest vehicles for self-expression ever created.

yep, his rhymes arent actually all that good either... he just keeps rapping about how he's the best, and all the record deals he turns down... still better than the average, i must admit.
