It's a classic... I like what one dude said in a previous post that in the future Nas's rhymes will be studied in Universities.

LOL...

If Universities study lyrics from an interpolation of an 80's Tears for Fears songs the world is coming to an end-

And what relevance a university could get out of a song which disses a fellow man because of his facial hair (WHAT?) and his interest in Karate I will never know.  Okay-maybe they could get something out of "Rewind".  Oh yah-thats right-that song lacks punch and just bites the movie Momento.  Hmm...maybe we clap our hands and sing Braveheart Party at a University?   Hmm..working that into a universitys curriculum might be tougher than you think.  The only REAL hot track is Got Yourself a Gun and theres nothing positive or educational in there.  Or maybe "My Country"--yah thats good.  In the midst of war let's diss the country that raised you.  Nice...

There is so  much filler on this album.  3.25 mics--  This is all MY opinion so please dont reply with "YOURE WRONG"--cos theres no right or wrong.  However in my opinion its 3.25--bottom line.

Stillmatic is easily superior to the Bluerprint. Its not even a contest.

I thought the Blueprint was classic when it first came out, but after a month, it lost its replay value. Its a very good album, probaby Jiggas second best [behind RD], but not classic. Stillmatic, on the otherhand is 2 months old and im STILL playing it like its brand new.

My review is almost finished, im doing the touch ups now........

Stillmatic is a dope album from NAS. I think its truly a classic and was the best album in 2001. True, Nas's lyrics could be studied in Universities in the future sice they are dope, and I really look forward to that day. Nas is one of the best rappers in the industry 2day IMO.

Stillmatic is a solid album, but i personally dont consider it a classic, id give it 4/5, for me, the album sends out too many mixed messages, im lookung forward to Hellrazors review as he's obviously taking it to the next level, should be insightfull.

Blueprint, again 4/5, i bumped Blueprint longer then i did Stillmatic, and i was feelin it, you know where you stand with a Jigga album imo, plus 'Renegades' is one of my favourite tracks of the year.

I wouldnt rate neither albums as 'Album of 2001'
