Mothafucking word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Warren G came out, I tried to get the bonus-track "Getaway" in CDQ. I found it in 192 Q, and though it was cdq, but fuck me, it was a crappy unedited/unmixed rip.
It's possible to rip it in 320, and have it sound like its 48. It's some fucked up shiiiiiiiiit.
>:(

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Like overseer said, 192 Isn't even CDQ.  Even if it's true 192, ripped off a cd.  I can hear a definite difference between a 192 ripped cd online, and the actual cd.

CDQ, of course, stands for Compact Disc Quality.  Compact Disc's use DIGITAL recording technology, whereas LP's use Analog recording technology.  What that means is if it's Analog, it's stored on the record by cutting grooves into the vinyl... when the needle bounces off the jagged edges of the grooves, it hums to the frequency of that portion of the music, reproducing it.  Interesting note is that record cutters used to limit the bass and treble frequencies that they would allow to be cut into a lp.  This was until.... the beatles (of course) came along.  Another one of their contributions to music was that, in 1966, John Lennon told Paul McCartney that his bass lines were practically useless because of the regulations... Paul agreed, and went to their producer, George Martin, complaining.  That year, their 2 next singles were "Paperback writer", and "Rain", arguably the 2 dopest basslines Paul McCartney laid down ever, and George Martin talked the record company into overcutting the grooves, lowering the boom for all posterity :)  The next year, they released the first ever song with a sampled loop, etc., so that's just 1 more reason they helped invent rap, lol.

On a cd, using digital recording, the music is stored as a progression of 0's and 1's, that the laser reads, then reproduces.
