Cadillac Says Snoop DeVille Is Custom-Made Only

Cadillac has no plans to issue a Snoop Dogg line of cars, according to a spokesperson for Cadillac Communications, in spite of the fact that the rapper customized his own "Snoop DeVille" with the cooperation of a Memphis Cadillac dealer.

"There's no special line of Cadillac DeVille following this personalized Snoop Dogg DeVille," the spokesperson told LAUNCH. "He basically purchased a base DeVille from one of our dealers and personalized it to his specifications, like a lot of our customers do, with after market parts from the dealership."

The spokesperson added that the General Motors brand often generates news when a celebrity personalizes one of its cars. "We think that the fact that Snoop Dogg chose a DeVille to personalize shows you that if you want to make a statement, you choose a Cadillac--and add some extra things to it, to really make it express your personality."

Roderick Harvey, who worked with Snoop Dogg and Cadillac Of Memphis to personalize the car, maintains that others can purchase their own Snoop DeVille. "The car will be sold to whoever wants to buy the car," Harvey told LAUNCH. "Several people have already placed orders for the car, including Nelly, Puff Daddy, and Ja Rule."
