Knoc's manager, who was a friend of Dre's, set up a meeting between the two sometime in early-mid 1999. As the story goes, Dre was impressed with Knoc and shortly afterward, Knoc-Turn'al recorded a verse for "Bang Bang".

After laying vocals on a few more tracks for "2001", he layed low for a bit and then in the summer of 2001, Dre & Knoc worked together on a gang of tracks, including material for the Wash Soundtrack.

Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program

I like 'The Wash' as well, simple as that. It has a varied sound and all in all, the production is quite banging. It has that laidback summertime feel. I agree it could have been loads better, but it surely could have been much worse. I'd just have taken off the tracks by D12, Daks & R.C., OX and Joe Beast.
