now, ill admit that dogg food had a bigger influence, was more contreversial and more innovative dogg food was a classic but DPG, track for track, was just as good

DPG was the album of the year

i'm gonna agree.  it's the most underrated album of all time.  i can't think of an album that even came close in 2001.  nas doesn't count.   this is westcoast connection.

If DPG wasn't the best album of 2001, it was very close.  It never grows old.  I listen to it all the time, so many exceptional tracks.

I'm the biggest DPG fan in the world...but this album ain't no where near Dogg Food...Dogg Food was a west coast classic...DPG was a good album but there were several west coast releases last year that were better...IMO Bad Azz album as the most slept on last year...

Like the homie TASH said, The Gift was the most underrated album of last year. Every track was dope and there weren't 3 or 4 tracks I hated.

In my opinion it was Album of the Year.

Um, Dillanger and Gotti sounded very rushed to me...if that is your idea of album of the year, uh, ok...i did like the album but it ain't touchin DOgg Food, which was CLASSIC.  Name one song on the new DPG where Kurupt even touches his flow on New York New York.  And i don't even wanna start with Daz, as his rapping has gone downhill.  The heats ain't touchin Doggfood either, which had DJ Pooh drop some nice instrumentals.  Also, Nate Dogg had two classic appearances on that album, I Dont like to  Dream About Gettin Paid and Lets play House.

Of course it is your opinion, so it is all good, but i can't honestly believe anyone who says they think Dogg Food is the second best DPG cd........peace
