I've spent the whole of last week converting .bin movies (jason X, Men In Black 2 etc) to mpg so i could watch them on my DVD player.

This is what u do.

Download a program called VCDGEAR (might find it at download.com).

Install the program and open it.

Make sure VCDGEAR is checked at the top left and click on "Cue/bin -> Mpg" on the pull down menu.

go to load and load up your .cue file and click start and it will convert the file so u can watch it anywhere.

If u don't have the .cue file then just load up your .bin file.

:)

AVI files can not be watched on a DVD player (if i remember correctly) so u would have to convert them to mpg by using a program called "TMPGenc".

(if u need help on how to use that program so u can make vcds then ask.)

IF you want to watch AVI/DIVX file on your pc then go here...
http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm

and install the "Nimo Codec Pack" (and the 3 DivX zip files, IF THE CODEC doesn't work)

Install the pack and run it and you should be able to watch them on your PC.

I basicaly went through a week of hell coz i downloaded movies with AVI/Divx/bin extentions and had trouble watching them on my pc or DVD player.

But after HEAVY research all problems have been solved.

To watch mpgs on DVD players simply Use "NERO" cd burner.

Select "Video CD" (Or SVCD) and copy your mpg movie as a vcd.

Pop it into the DVD player and BAM!!!!!!!1

Sit, relax, get ya popcorn out and enjoy the movie...

sounds simple!!! but "NERO" is a program or a special cd burner itself??????
