The next increment will comprise a pair of hip-hop debuts in Lench Mob/Virgin/The Firm's Ice Cube (140k-150k) and Bad Boy South/Atlantic's Yung Joc (130k-140k), followed by consistent sellers from WB's Red Hot Chili Peppers (100k-110k) and Disney's High School Musical (90k-100k). Yup, I agree. Even though Cube has said in interviews that he's not really doing the Rap thing for money anymore, I think he deserves as many sales as he can get. If LAUGH NOW, CRY LATER sells enough, maybe it will convince Cube that he still has fans out there who want to hear him keep putting it down, and then maybe, in turn, there won't be anymore of these five-to-six year gaps between CDs! But that's all speculation, of course--we can't really know what's going to pan out for Cube in terms of future movie offers and whatnot. But yeah, if he is at 140-150,000 after only one week, shit, like E-40 says, "that's ghetto gold," at least (especially when you consider that Cube put LNCL out independently).

Virgin mustve picked up the album for international sales, because of all the music stores in my city, only virgin superstores had cubes album as a major release. No other places had it at all.
