Neptunes To Launch Label

After ruling radio for nearly two years, The Neptunes are taking things a step further. The successful hitmaking duo has signed a deal with Arista to launch their label, Star Trak Entertainment. The label will not only feature hip-hop and R&B, but pop, rock, and even country. The first project will drop in April from the Virginia Beach, Va. duo, Clipse. Also signed to the label is a rock quartet by the name of Spy Mob, out of Minneapolis.

"We are excited to be working with L.A. Reid and his entire team at Arista Records," Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo said in a statement "Both have a storied tradition of creativity and great music and we're looking forward to adding to the success and cultivating new talents from all facets of music -- pop, rock, hip-hop, rap, R&B and even country. We don't just want to define the categories, we want to create them."

The Neptunes debut album un the name N*E*R*D, In Search Of..., will drop on March 12 thru Virgin Records.
