Pharrell Williams will release his debut solo album, In My Mind, on July 25,
2006. ôNumber One,ö a collaboration with fellow producer-extraordinaire Kanye
West, is Mr. WilliamÆs new single. It follows ôCan I Have It Like That,ö the
albumÆs hugely successful first offering which features Gwen Stefani.

Mr. Williams is perhaps best known as one half of The Neptunes, the virtuosos
whose limitless talents and diverse interests have carried them into virtually
every corner of music. As producers and songwriters, they are responsible for a

After the 1st quick listen Im feeling that track with JayZ. Funky stuff.

If I have learned anything about Pharrell in the past is that his music takes time to grow on you ( Drop It Like Its Hot). Gonna listen to it couple more times then drp my comments.

The album is alright, nuthin' spectacular..
The opening song "Can i have it like that" gives wrong expectations for the rest of the album; it sounds all way more back in his NERD - In Search Of time.
Though I think the quality of In Search Of is way better. The drums are better than his early works, but the melodies and instruments on this album are quite played out.
The whole album sounds bit dated; think because of the delays and his latest work (Luda track for example sounds more recent..)... BUT ofcourse, this all can be my mad mind playing funny tricks with me (haha.)
The guest featurings didn't impress me really.
Anyway album is for me like 7/10. But as Detox said it might be a grower.

I've heard the first 5 tracks, and the production is nice.  I don't really like Pharrell rapping though, I thought it was gonna be him singing.
