I need help

ok, so my msn messenger hasnt been workin for like 3 months and today I tried to see what was up and i couldnt fix it. i went to the messenger site to see how to fix it and after I tried what they said, it still didnt work. Everytime I try to log in it says somethin about a firewall. and error code 80072efd. I followed their directions how to fix it and it still didnt work. Anybody know how to fix it?
