After the tragic of passing hip hop cultural leader Professor X in March this year, X-Clan returns with a new studio LP.

It was 1990 when X-Clan debuted with To The East Blackwards. X-Clan was on the forefront of hip hop's cultural movement. Followed up by the 1992 sophomore album Xodus, X-Clan is still remembered by hits like Funkin' Lesson, Heed The Word of the Brother and Raise The Flag. X-Clan used hip hop as their vehicle to deliver and advance the science and math of upliftment, popularizing the ideas of Malcolm X, Sonny Carson, Huey Newton and Clarence 13X, while keeping dance floors packed.

October 31st the X-Clan, led by Brother J, "Returns To Mecca". The new album, which will be the first Suburban Noize Records release, will have guest appearances by RBX, Jurassic 5's Chali 2NA, KRS 1, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Abstract Rude and YZ. Production will come from the boards of producers like DJ Quik, DJ Khalil, DJ Fat Jack, Jake One and Bean One.

Below we have the tracklisting of Return To Mecca and the single Weapon X for download.

That's some tight news right there!  I've been waiting for this album to drop..brother J is in my top 3 list of MC's...here's my questions 1.  Are they doing any other collabs this year?  2.  What was it like working with Quik & RBX?  Will Brother J ever hook up with the like of Dr. Dre, DJ Premier, Battlecat (since his sounds are so reminiscent of the old school X-Clan sound)?

I guess it's too late to ask questions but what I want to know is:

Do you think progressive hip hop will ever return to prominence?
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.
