Dam, The Source is having fun, handing out all these 5 mic ratings-too bad they missed out on some key West Coast albums.

I'ma go buy "Stillmatic" right now to see all this hype.  This will be my first East coast CD since I think Eve...which I only bought for the Dre tracks.  I think the last one I got was a burned, "The W."

lyrically , yeah stillmatic is faaaaaaaar superior
but Production wise 2001 is HELLA better than every album out there right now with only stankonia being even close....stillmatic's production isn't all that great but it makes it listenable all the beats (even the premier beat ) are simple melodies....i dunno you'd have to know production to know what i'm talking about but whoever said Stillmatic and 2001 are about the same production wise are making themselves look silly. That's like saying mack 10's the same lyrically as Xzibit or Crooked I.


anyways back to the topic....this is much deserved


exactly....no album right now could fuck with stillmatic's lyricism......just like no album could fuck with 2001's production so they about the same but i think stillmatic is a better album cuz the beats aren't wack...it still dope...and matches with the lyrics

2001 didn't get half a mic off for being westcoast. It got half a mic off for being Garbage, lyrcially.

All of you are just hating on the Source (for good reason, i hate the Source too), but you dick ride the west coast too much. (Dont start shit with me i'm born & raised Cali). There's absolutely no reason anyone should've brought up 2001 in this topic, and i'm damn sure most of these Westcoast dick riders who're screaming their heads off havent even listened (like deeply) to Stillmatic as a whole. Stillmatic deserved a 5-Mic rating.

when a artist get 4 or 2 or 4.5... everyone is like fuck the source , it'S just a mag etc.

but when a classic mark is into play , well everybody fuck with that.... strange



anyways .... all thoses classics (gay-z n nas) will hopefully gave a wake up call to the rest , so they can drop some classic shit  like the 90 to 96 era
