lol....na man.....i don hate on tha eastcoast.....i loved nas"z illmatic.....and i love jigga"z shit.....i loved big"z shit....i aint hating on tha east....but as for what i said bout tha source  giving stillmatic 5 micz, datz tha most logical reason imo....

Whoever said "Dr. Dre 2001" was full of just some party lyrics, and had no real meaning - I think is wrong.

"2001" was Dre's "out of the cradle" album.  He returned when everyone doubted him the most, and that album served as his middle finger to all the peeps that doubted and hated.  The whole album is a retrospective back on his life, songs like "The Watcher," "Still D-R-E," "Forgot About Dre," "What's The Difference," "Bang, Bang" and "The Message."  It's Dre addressing past issues, and stating that he has matured, and is past being a gangsta.

Just got this album, and I'm glad I did.

"Ether" is a great diss track, Nas's voice sounds great, and doesn't his flow on that song sound JUST like Em's flow on "The Way I Am"?  I think it does.

I like all the songs except "Braveheart Party."  

This is prolly the only album I have where I could give a fuck bout the beats, cause Nas makes my pay attention to what he's sayin.  His flow is incredible at all times.

Still, I think "2001" is better.

Stillmatic deserved 5 mics imo, but i dont think it raised the bar for hip hop at all, i think it raised the bar for commercial NY emcees but not the whole of hip hop, and personally i thought Sticky Fingaz: 'Black Trash' was album of the year, just my 2 cents...
