I'm just interested cos someone told its something like 2/3 of americans don't even have passports, but I dunno if i believe it sounds like bs for one of the richest countries in the world.

Anyway have you ever travaelled outside america? If so where have u been and how many times have u left your country?

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

I've been to mexico and canada. both were fub. but how is most Americans not having a passport surprising? flights are expensive, vacations period are expensive. im not sure if you're aware, but we're not located right next to a bunch of other countries so the need for having one isn't that great

I go to the states a few times a year and I don't have a passport.  We don't need them between Canada/US (for another 2 years anyway)

I went to Niagara Falls in Canada last year and I felt like I was in a third world country. Everywhere I looked there were Indians, Pakistanis, Arabs, etc  walking around in their strange clothes and speaking their strange languages. It definitely didn't feel like North America. On the positive side, I won alot of money at Casino Niagara.

As for most Americans not having passports and not traveling to other countries that much, you are right. You have to understand that the US is a huge country and that we have oceans on each side of us. So any travel to another country is probably going to be a very far trip and thus an expensive trip. It isn't like Europe where all the countries are so small and you can go from one to another very easily and very quickly.

Don Rizzle, I know you made this topic to portray Europeans as being so much more cultured and enlightened than those ignorant and unsophisticated Americans. But you have to use some common sense before you make stupid posts like this.

My guess is that the people that go on vacations usually just hit up somewhere within the country, so why get a passport.
