Thank you for wording it better than that joker, Tom.  Anyways-I think the album is okay but for a Nas album Im disappointed again.  Get a Gun is a weak choice for a first singe.  Also I was real hyped about One Mic and it was mediocre at best.  And songs like Rewind try to be innovative just for the sake of being innovative.  The album as a whole just didnt do much for me.  Is it awful?  Nah--but its nothing special.  Give me the blueprint over this every day of the week and twice on Sunday, ya underdig?

Sugefight, i don't underdig at all man!  Got yourself....is a perfect single for Nas, what else can he do?  If he put out something as commerical as Izzo, nas would be ridiculed forever.  Got Yourself....at least the song is a banger without being r&B, ya know?  As for One Mic, i am loving that shit.  Yo Sugefight, what you think of "You're The Man" , "Poison", and "Destroy and Rebuild."

Also, at least Nas album has some creativity on it, whereas Jay Z's is all sampled and sounds the same (don't get me wrong, Blueprint is incredible, but not exactly innovative shit).  I like both, Jay Z's is solid front to back but on the lyrics he can't even get close to Nas......PEACE

well all I can say is that this album is incredible and shits all over the blueprint. Escobar definetly is the king of NY thats for sure. my favorite tracks are:

I gotta go with Nas on this one... JayZ just can't even match Stillmatic this time... he can rap about him on takeover, but Nas tore him up on Ether, Stillmatic and on the whole album. This album is very innovative, very creative. little sampling, but not over done like Jay-Z.... you're an artists... you need to show artistic qualities... Jay-Z has lyrics, but his production was very poor... anyone can take a sample and make it better.... in my opinion... Nas has JayZ now... Blueprint... i never liked it... Stillmatic... keeps getting better.... subjects here are not overplayed and keeps me coming back for more
