Bob Dylan : Hurricane
« on: October 29, 2006, 10:58:50 PM »
A couple of days ago my pops told me he had a song he wanted me to listen to and he hates rap and knows I love it and I dont care that much for classical rock like he does but he guarenteed that I would love the song he was going to play for me and man was he right.  I knew Bob Dylan was known for his songwriting but I had never listened to him until then, and this track called "Hurricane" is a amazing song!  I dont know how many people here actually listen to this guy but this song was amazing, anyway the song is a true story about a black boxer that got falsey accused of a murder in the prime of his career and he spent alot of time in jail before he finally got released years later.  The song is a incredible story about what happened, I listened to it 3 straight times, amazing song.

Great song, great musician.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
