^^^ That's true too. I'm not in Cali, so my views are gonna be different than yours. People in Cali probably hype him up like people on the East do to Jay-Z.

That and this is a west coast forum. Most "stans" take it to another level with the dickriding, but fans are fans and through everything he has been through, he still has west coast fans. Kind of surprising to me but it is what it is. I personally feel there are alot of other rappers I like to listen to also other than Game. Glasses got some heat, Bishop is off the chain, Cube is my favorite along with Snoop, I listen to everything. As far as the Doc's Advocate, I think it will do some numbers, not 4 or 5 mil like the first one, but I think that comes with Game being almost larger than the music. His mouth and fighting outside of the music has surpassed the music to me, so now it is like alot of people will cop his album just to see what he has to say. I did not download the album, I will buy it and make a decision then, but dude needs to stand on his own and get some substance to his rhymes.

yo Phillyboy I think you're takin the shit too seriously that's all

I've thought all that stuff and I agree, he's manufactured

nothing special lyically at all really, a few good punchlines every now and then

the only reasons he's got attention is because the West is dead and he is/was Dr. Dre affiliated

the name dropping wouldn't be too bad if he would mention more people other than Dre, Jay, 50, Eminem or whatever

another negative is that all he does is pretty much mention the same shit

but anyways what I'm sayin is I feel the same way you do, but with this album I just didn't think too hard and it was enjoyable

I'm not even a Game fan but it had good beats and some future West classics

to me it's the best cd I heard this year with all the hype, and I never thought I would say that believe me

^^^ That's just how I am when I'm speaking my opinion. I see so many people on here that love Game, with very little disagreence, so I thought I would bring a different POV to the table. The people taking it too seriously are the ones who made my karma drop by 3 since my initial post lol.

I agree with what your saying as far as not thinking hard when taking in a cd like this. It would be a good CD for driving on a highway. I'm more into stuff like Lupe, Tech N9ne and East Coast rappers the most. I like listening to the actual lyrical content more than anything. I wasn't trying to call Game fans stupid or anything like that, but right after I posted, someone was right under me talking that shit on a personal level. That's why I got heated. But it is a board to discuss music. I know everyone on here don't care for me, but I felt like dropping my opinions anyways.

Game makes albums that people want to hear for the most part. I always say that 50 and Game are one in the same. As 50 has a ear for hits, Game does also. The 2 singles One Blood and Lets Ride are good records. The name dropping is old but it works for him. I just think it's funny, good thoughts or bad thoughts, I have not seen a mc talked about this much on the west since 2pac. The hype and buzz around him is CRAZY right now. I would like to see him become a more complete mc later on in his career but he is going for what sells now and that is beef and sticking with what you know. From the sounds of most people's comments it will be cool to bump some new shit in the ride along with Snoop and whatever else drops before the end of the year.

youre right about that one, not really anybody else has been poppin on the east like Game since them, save snoop. Games buzz out here has definitley died down ALOT in the last year, which promoted me to think that he's not gonna do spectacular numbers like TD.

I'm waiting on November 14th, so I can go cop the album and give my review of it. Game is my favorite rapper in the game at the moment, but many others have their opinions of him. But what many fail to understand it that this is Game's second album, he is still developing and has yet to come into his own. In a few years, I could see Game being a serious problem in the rap game. He just needs to get past that Dr. Dre & GUnot shit, because I think it's holding him back.

damn, this topic almost got more pages than the "what song are you listening now" topic. Shows Game's popularity is pretty big!
