Ice Cube Making Holiday "Friday" Flick By Teri vanHorn and Tina Johnson, MTV News In South Central, Los Angeles, when someone sneaks into your house on Christmas Eve, odds are they're not leaving presents.
At least, that's the theme of Friday After Next, which Ice Cube began shooting on Monday. In it, Cube's character, Craig Jones, and his cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps) have their Christmas presents stolen by a thief posing as Santa. The film is the third flick in the urban comedy series that started with Friday in 1995 and continued last year with Next Friday. Cube wrote the screenplays for all three pictures, collaborating with D.J. Pooh on the first.
"This is the third Friday, and we've really worked hard on keeping the franchise fresh by giving this film a Christmas-in-the-hood theme," Cube said through the film's New Line Cinema spokesperson.

After trying life in the 'burbs in Next Friday, Craig and Day-Day are now back in South Central Los Angeles. They've also scored jobs as unarmed security guards at a BBQ restaurant, thanks to Craig's dad (played by John Witherspoon) and Uncle Elroy (Don "D.C." Curry).
Marcus Raboy, who directed the video for Santana's "Smooth," will make his feature film debut with the project. Cube will executive-produce the film's soundtrack.
The N.W.A MC also wrote, produced and stars in "All About the Benjamins," which is scheduled to hit theaters on January 11. He'll drop his Greatest Hits album on December 4, featuring two new tracks (see "Ice Cube's Greatest Hits Track List Shapes Up"). :o
