Ya got heat? Then, roll wit us...
« on: November 03, 2006, 07:10:48 PM »
Hello, all.

We'll try to make this brief as possible because I am posting this opportunity to several places tonight. We're slated to drop the first project around the end of March next year so we are making every effort to get the ball rolling. We are a small independent label in central Texas. They call us theGrindLab. We are incorporated, trademarked and members of the UCC. None of that may amoung to much for you but we believe our status and business decisions show how serious we are about music. If this is posted into the wrong section of the forums please except our apologies and reauest that the admin/mod move our post to the proper area. We are only here to network with artists from other areas NOT to spam you with get rich quick schemes and the sort. Before you read the following details please understand that we are a small label with limited funding so the number of units we push for each release may possibly not even reach 1500 in count. These are limited-release albums that will mainly be marketed as exposure for participants. However, if any of these releases meet success (2000 units sold), artists featured can expect (as per contract) a royalty. Initially, we offer all participating artists free exposure in the Texas market and enough professionally replicated units to compensate them for helping us complete these projects. Because these are regional releases we won't set suggested retail any higher than $11.99 (suggested retail on regional releases averages $13.99) and quite possibly will set it at $9.99 (to increase potential sales and thus, exposure for all artists featured). ***You retain full ownership of your music and the agreement is non-exclusive. With that said, please ready below:

We are working on three albums for release in 2007. Each project shall feature both productive and vocal work from various artists. Please review our site [http://www.theGrindLab.com] for details on these three projects:

EastCoastLP
WestCoastLP
LapdanceLP

Each page has a short description of the project with the main details listed in the first "blog" for that album. Once sales reach 3000 units on any of these projects we will attempt to secure regional distribution. All artist will be featured in album liner notes with name, credit to label/company and any contact info they wish to list. Whether you consider yourself a producer, rapper or singer please look into these projects immediately. Again, we want to send the first project to press by March of '07. Thank you for your time and interest.
