if they sort out their goverment and stop killing each other,the country should open up for forein investment, there is a lot of fertile land because of the nile ,plus sudan is rich in natural resourses petroleum; small reserves of iron ore, copper, chromium ore, zinc, tungsten, mica, silver, gold, hydropower ,and a lot of uranium. first of they need to sort out their civil wars and apiont a strong multi ethnic goverment.

a lot of countries have very good economies just because of petroleum reserves sudan got that plus a lot of more untapped natural resourses that can be used for a lot of industries.the nile is a big source of agrilactural products .

u are right but sudan's location on the red sea ,ties with the arab world ,the fact that the nile runs through it gives it a clear advantage.

Yeah there are certain countries that have an advantage of others, Sudan included. But like you said the killing and cival wars have to stop first.

^^It is because of this that there is war in Sudan, the foriegn imperialist powers (Britian, America, Isreal) are arming and influencing rebel groups and Christians in the South to revolt against the Sudanese government, and when the Sudanese government tries to respond by suppressing these inserrectionist movements throughout the country, then Zionist controlled media manipulates the situation and creates an international outcry against the Sudanese government. 

They even try to project this as a racial war of Arabs vs. Black when the leaders of Sudan would be taken as black men by anyone who looked at them.  All this is done by the Zionist controlled media, so that the imperialist powers can drive a wedge in Sudan, and gain a foothold in the region to provide them with access and control over Sudan's vast resources.

The white Chritian man of the West has been sucking the blood of Africa for nearly four centuries, nothing new under the sun.  When Muslims were dominating politics in Africa in the middle ages Africa was a giant economically and politically and they were controlling their own destiny; in fact the African's influence was so large due to Islam that they were even holding sway over European nations such as Spain.
