im sorry but that was one horrible interview.

he said the same thing in every answer.  jesus christ what the fuck is wrong with these rappers.  i mean i could tell you were trying nima but he just seemed like he had no interest in talking about anything worth reading.  its not like the interview he did back in the day for thaformula.com

that interview was one of the craziest shit i ever read on the ruthless and death row days.  here is the one im talking about for those that never read it.  this shit here was the greatest interview i ever read.  how thaformula got him to open up like that who fucking knows:

http://www.thaformula.com/d.o.c._ruthless_to_death_row.htm

you know what, it's not that he didn't want to say anything, it's really that he couldn't. but i will be hooking up for a follow up interview soon enough.

it's funny you mention that DOC thaformula.com interview man, cause that is one of my favorite interviews ever, that was so fuckin dope. thaformula had a big influence on me as far as interviewing.

Dubcnn: Sounds like ya'll have been going in a piano direction, judging from the tracks on Jay-Z and Snoop's record.

Wtf, weak question.  Take a history lesson.

Nothing wrong with that question; Dre's been taking piano lessons and peeps are thinking that's the way he's gonna go on Detox.

Props on the interview - it's gettin funkaaayyy 8)

nima, just wanted to say a big thank you man for asking about six-two and UPTIGHT. appreciate that man. i'm hoping for six-two to hook up with dre on detox but doesn't sound like that sh*t will happen. dude would have killed round here better than snoop (and snoop's flow on that was cold as a muthaf**ka imo).

anyways dope questions and while he didn't give much away he's got me anticipating. sh*t detox, new sh*t from silverback, another D.O.C solo. damn!!! none of it may happen but it sure as hell passes the time thinking about it!

major props Nima and dubcnn!  8)

Props once again, keep on doing it. 8)

This is really the only interview I've read where the dude answering the questions without a doubt knew something about Detox, and he wasn't telling shit, ha ha! Shit's still a mystery.

Cool to hear about all the other plans he has, the movie and solo record and whatnot.

to me it sounded like that solo album was supposed to be a secret becuase the way he answered the question. i bet when he saw G.A.G.E he said something like "why you telling them i was releasing an album for?"

thaformula interview  :D :

ThaFormula.com - And at that time Suge was your bodyguard right?

D.O.C. - Well at that time Suge was a friend of mine and they said the guy was my bodyguard because I got a 300 pound plus muthafucka following me around. But I never paid this guy to fuckin' watch over me. He probably just smelled money like everybody else and was kickin' it.

Props Nima.

It's awesome that DOC is working on Detox.  He's def one of the greatest lyricists ever.  Plus I'm glad he didn't divulge shit about Detox either.  I'd rather not know anything about it - just be surprised the first time I hear it. (if it ever drops)

he said, Detox aint what you expect

so there goes any chance of a westcoast album

Well, hopefully it transcends that label.
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

I gotta say I really admire the man. I mean of course we all got a 3 devils here in life (things that make us sad, things we dont understand and things we would like to change) but to be an aspriring rap star, coming from a bad hood, and then to loose your voice and be "forgotten" about is a cold piece of chicken. I read that he became damn-near an alchoholic just trying to deal with the pain of not being able to rap anymore.

Thumbs up to the boy DOC for making it through all that. Dudes like that is inspiration 8)

Honestly, I have no idea how I would've handled that situation... That shit was so cold-blooded... Your album just went platinum, you have the number one rap album out.. and you loose your fuckin voice out of all things.
