he said, Detox aint what you expect

so there goes any chance of a westcoast album

Well, hopefully it transcends that label.
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

I gotta say I really admire the man. I mean of course we all got a 3 devils here in life (things that make us sad, things we dont understand and things we would like to change) but to be an aspriring rap star, coming from a bad hood, and then to loose your voice and be "forgotten" about is a cold piece of chicken. I read that he became damn-near an alchoholic just trying to deal with the pain of not being able to rap anymore.

Thumbs up to the boy DOC for making it through all that. Dudes like that is inspiration 8)

Honestly, I have no idea how I would've handled that situation... That shit was so cold-blooded... Your album just went platinum, you have the number one rap album out.. and you loose your fuckin voice out of all things.

Great work.  I  appreciate the D.O.C. for giving the interview.  I had the opportunity to see him live in concert when he opened for NWA back in 90 and have been a fan of his since.  He did a great show.  Speaking as a veteran of listening to all rap since I bought my first rap album back in 1983 D.O.C. is one of the best!

what year did his accident happen?

Man, word on him being strong person and an inspiration. I think he was meant to be a writer to engineer the dopeness of beloved classics like efil4zaggin, the chronic, doggystyle, etc.

Word.  Of all the things he lost, it was his voice.  But he's an incredible writer, and he can ghost for lots of peeps.  It's great to hear that he's in a good mind state and how he's looking at the positives.  Everybody can learn from that shit.

LMAO, that was completely uninformative.

"Did the CIA kill John Lennon? ...Yeah."

Does anyone know anymore about this?
