What's the best forums/website for Islam?
« on: January 07, 2007, 03:20:07 PM »
Looking for a popular message board for Muslims, or simply for discussion on Islam. I'm currently a member on Shiachat.com, which is a pretty big site, but It has an obvious Shiite bias. Can anyone direct me to any Sunni sites, or sites dedicated to universal Islam?

Now that Infinite is gone, we got a successor.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

shias are on some next tip. there is no "sunni"sites, because islam= sunni

anythin that has to emphasis its difference is not mainstream
"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Assalamualaikum.. this site may not be the best "universal Islam" site because universal Islam is heavily influenced by four scholars that lived in the 9th century.  Actually, myself I am a universal Muslim, but I benefit from reading from this site because I trust the Qu'ran 100%, and I don't trust scholars in the same way.

So here is a good website if you want a logical explaination of Islam and it's teachings, rooted strictly in the Qu'ran and free of the influence of scholars.

www.submission.org

You can find the main topics on the left, and also you can search other subjects as they have an excellent in site search engine.  One thing they don't do well is they don't explain the political aspect of Islam and Islams current political and past history very well.  But as far as understanding of the Qu'ran, it is the best site I've found, because like I said it's free of the influence of scholars, they try to strictly judge according to the Qu'ran alone.

May Allah increase you in knowledge, keep searching for the truth in sincerity, seek and you will find.
