Alright negroids and negrettes gotta little question for ya.

I'd say the general consensus is that America is top dog in the world right now.  Now make no mistake, I'm not doing any rah rah, I'm not doggin any other country, I'm not saying we're morally superior to any country.  We're just the most powerful.

My question is - who's next?  Every major empire has it's downfall.  If / when America does eventually have it's downfall, who is now top dog and why?

Please discuss, and keep in mind that this isn't a debate on whether or not it will happen.  It's a hypothetical scenario on if it does happen.

Now, I for one am not very knowledgable on international affairs and such.  My initial thought was Japan as they have the next highest GDP, but they also are a very small country with dwindling birthrates, so I don't think it's them...

Any thoughts?

I think China will be next.  They do most of the worlds work already, it might get to the point that other countries become too dependent on China.  Plus they have a billion people.  Same deal with India.

Interesting that this topic has been started, as I am just beginning a class called "The Rise of China" which is being taught by an expert on China how served as an advisor to the PM of Canada for years. He talked today about how it is believed by Chinese that all countries in the world must bow to the Emperor of China, whom they believe will be sent down by the Heavens.
