I agree with this except I would switch 2 and 3 around

I didn't read the entire thread, but I would be shocked if anyone didn't have this at #1. Best hip-hop album of all time, in my opinion. Classic after classic after classic. I wouldn't even be able to do a top 5 of this record, because every track is amazing.

2. Tha Last Meal
The three Snoop albums following Doggystyle were all disappointments to me. I had actually given up on Snoop and only bought this because Dr.Dre was involved. I was very positively surprised. This is an amazing album with lots of funky tracks. Favourites include "Brake Fluid", "Wrong Idea", "Hennesey N Buddah" and "Go Away". Kokane is killing it on this album.

3. Tha Blue Carpet Treatment
Not as consistent as the top 2, but has a lot of ecxellent cuts like "Imagine", "Think About It", "A Bitch I Knew", "That's That", "Psst" and "Vato". I still don't understand why this album wasn't a huge smash. Why wasn't "Imagine" released as a single? That's a classic Dre/Snoop cut.

4. Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss
Another strong, but inconsistent album. Love "The One And Only", "Pimp Slapp'd", "From Long Beach 2 Brick City", "Batman & Robin" and a few others.

Those four albums are strong albums, IMO. The problem with Snoop is that he has released too many lacklustre albums. I don't even want to rank the 5 other albums, because despite owning them all, I haven't listened to them very much. Tha Doggfather was a huge disappointment to me when it came out, I hated the No Limit sound in general, R'n'B was anything but a masterpiece and Ego Trippin was a lazy effort.

Compared to a lot of his recent albums doggfather is a dope album. That album is the blueprint along with Tha Streetz imo as how a dpgc members album should sound and be structured.

honestly I haven't really heard too much of his other albums to form a great opinion but for the fuck of it I put in Ego Trippin on the other day and it was decent but not the Snoop I wanna hear

Doggystyle, Doggfather, and Blue Carpet Treatment were classics albums
 
Tha Last Meal, No Limit Top Dogg were above average

Ego Trippin, Da Game is to be Sold Not Told, Dead Man walking were average albums

Paid the Cost to Be The Boss and R&G are below average

everyone who helped make Doggystyle were parts of classic albums themselves also


you just ognna know how to make great music and thats what Snoop does

doggystyle = amazing

doggfather = slightly above average

last meal = average

everything else = below average



it's SAD for snoop when his best post-death row album was DEAD MAN WALKING....a death row remix album LOL

and thats my breakdown... and snoop is the main artists on doggystyle.. yes he had alot of people involved. but what can u say snoop snapped on that album
