Offically Canada uses the metric system. But growing up there nobody I knew used it (majority didn't even know it). With an exception being using kilometers instead of miles.

i dont know where you live , but in quebec its metric all the way ...
the old generation still uses inch/foot cuz thats how they got educated, but nowadays its metric in schools, so anyone thats under 25 years uses metric all the time.

yea you got a point, i didnt thought about those 2 mesures, for weight/height we use ft/lbs .. but for distance/lenght we use mm/cm/m/km. its deriving more and more into metric system from generation to generation tho i think, and hopefully everyone will use metric someday.

I forgot about mm/cm. You're right. Most people use that except when talking about their height (in which case a lot of people still use it).
I remember getting so irrated when my uncle (who previuosily lived in South Africa) would tell me he weighted XX KGs. It annoyed the hell out of me.
