I was actually happy with the radio today!

My local hip hop station is just like most fm hip hop station's now 'days. Only playin the same 8 songs over and over again...constant mainstream b/s. That's all good, cuz I'm used to it, but today I was pleasently suprised.......

They introduced a new segment called the "Straight Westcoastin Hour" where they played nothin but westcoast hits & up & comers, and they even did some mixxing with some of the tracks. Just in the time I was listening I heard:

.........and more! All back to back to back to back....no commercials, just non-stop westcoast. Damn I was in musical heaven! Just thought I'd share one of my few pleasure experiences with my local radio station

imo, our bay area stations suck.  106.1 and 94.9 are trash.

so much that the only radio stations i listen to are the old funk channels, 102.9 and 98.1

I remember we used to have Westcoast Wednesdays in Sac, i think it was like for an hour in the night. I don't know if they still have it since i haven't listened to the radio in a long ass time.

We have 2 hip-hop stations in San Diego and they're both gay as fuck. I just got back from Phionex, and even they play better songs then over here.

Yea, i occasionally get reception for one of the bay area stations and i always hear bay area cats on there. It's cool they show some local love.
