uncle sams curse vs funk upon a rhyme

your favorite

I always though of the two as like companion albums. I love both although I don't think Funk Upon a Rhyme is half as good as Uncle Sam's Curse personally. Uncle Sam's Curse is like the perfect album. Although the album could never have been nearly as good without Kanes funky ass hooks.

I'm going with Funk Upon A Rhyme... I used to play Don't Bite The Phunk over and over again. Uncle Sam's Curse is dope but I wouldn't call it a perfect album though...

Uncle Sams Curse
But I'm a do it like this so your crew will know
Tie your leg to a car, tie the other to a pole
Talk shit and laugh cause I got the gift of gab
Hop in the car, hit the gas, watch your ass split in half

That is another group that really does not get the props and respect they deserve. Their sound was ahead of its time and was as good if not better than Dre's and the whole Death Row/DPG camp at times.

^^ true.

My votes is on Funk Upon a Rhyme. Kane was just way ahead of his age with his deep and prolific lyrics on tracks like "I Need Representation", "My Day Is Coming" and "No Pain No Gain"....plus it was dope to hear a record without all that "shooting niggas" bullcrap...... 8) a classic.

I gotta go with Uncle Sams Curse. That album was a classic to me, more less perfection from top to bottom. Funk Upon A Rhyme was almost as dope but some of those tracks like "Funkinmuffin" were just too experimental and weird...i mean i can appreciate him trying out new sounds but there were just a few tracks that didn't come out dope to me. Matter fact the other day I was reading some reviews of those albums, they got em up at www.westified.com and theyre talkin about exactly what this thread is about, how those albums kinda work like companion pieces.

uncle sams curse by many many many miles... gangsta madness is my shit

i've got a selection of my favourite above the law tracks in the car right now from right across their career so far

i'm not a huge fan of funk upon a rhyme and only really play the last track.. almost seems to be a bandwagon thing that its rare..so people like it..
