I'm surprised that i'm the only one who gave a vote for Barthez  ???

He has won the 3 major trophies in soccer : Worldcup, Euro & Champion's League  8)

Don't think another goalkeeper already do that

True. Plus just because he won 3 major titles, doesn't mean he's one of the greatest.

No problem, i'm cool with Zoff too. He wasn't as spectacular as Buffon or Schmeichel, i've never seen him doing miracles. But he saved everything was possible to save, and that makes him a great GK. Never big mistakes. A great leader. The captain of the Italian national team who won the World Cup in 1982 (he played 2 WC Finals) and the European Championship in 1968, plus he was been the glorious captain of the glorious Juventus team.. the best team in the world at that moment, imo (8-9 players from the WC of 78 and 82. Just like Juventus from last year, with 9 WC finalists plus Ibrahimovic and Emerson in the top11).

Damn left backs is more difficult then i thought. I can only think of Maldini and roberto carlos right now. Ill have to search some on the internet ot refresh my memory again.

A very difficult choice and some great players have been left out, think that there could be a great variety of choices here

1. Paolo Maldini (ITA)
2. Giacinto Facchetti (ITA)
3. Andreas Brehme (GER)
4. Nilton Santos (BRA)
5. Antonio Cabrini (ITA)
