Best software made strictly to edit audio (MP3s)?
« on: March 29, 2007, 09:25:04 AM »
I have been using a program called Goldwave since 99, but the main problem is that it is TOO slow in loading and doing effects.

I need a program that will let me do the basics...cutting songs down, chopping them at parts, turning the volume up, EQ and all that...but something that is very fast with opening and saving the songs.

Have you tried Audacity?

It seems to do the basics but I don't know how it compares to other programs. I ain't no expert neither, but it lets me chop up parts of songs and fuck with the EQ.

Damm, I've never heard of it. Most programs do seem to do the same, and I only need the basics. Do the songs load and save fast?

Loading is fairly quick, saving not too bad - but my PC is several years old and usually running all my work spreadsheets at the same time, so you might get it to run quicker.

You can get it from here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I lost my crack though.  You have to find it off a website or something,.
